WP6. Acceptance and Awareness

Main objectives: Bringing the issue of soil protection into urban planning practice and raising the awareness of different stakeholder groups

Summary description and approach: Prompting stakeholder awareness and participation in defining soil protection goals become a key element of planning. Protection scenarios and their impacts on soil functions will be modeled to provide an input for soil management support tools and to verify public acceptance of policies. Outputs of impact assessment and stakeholder participation will be translated into SMS guidelines.
